The Dallas Cowboys have signed defensive tackle David Carter, cutting defensive tackle Landon Cohen

Cohen had one tackle in two games.

Carter is a former Arizona Cardinals sixth-round pick from UCLA who has 18 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble in four starts.

The Cowboys signed wide receiver Jamar Newsome to the practice squad, cutting wide receiver Danny Coale.

They also worked out cornerbacks Ryan Steed, Junior Mertile and Peyton Thompson and wide receiver Dwight Jones today.
