The Cowboys are set to give DeMarco Murray another backup option in the backfield.
The Cowboys announced that they've signed running back Ryan Williams, who was recently released by the Ariona Cardinals.
Williams was a second-round choice (38th overall) by the Cardinals in 2011. He never lived up to the potential the organization had for him due to injuries. He's only had 165 yards in five games played.
The signing follows a workout Williams had with the organization this past week. He'll compete with Lance Dunbar and Joseph Randle for carries.
