With quarterback Tony Romo potentially out for the season with a herniated disk in his back, the Dallas Cowboys are looking to bolster the position.
They're working out quarterbacks David Carr, John Skelton and Tyler Thigpen.
Carr is a former Houston Texans starter and New York Giants backup.
Skelton is a former Arizona Cardinals starter.
And Thigpen once started for the Kansas City Chiefs and has also played for the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins. Thigpen tried out for the St. Louis Rams earlier this season, but wasn't signed.
The Cowboys only have Romo and Kyle Orton on the roster as far as quarterbacks, and Orton is preparing to start if Romo is sidelined.
