Cowboys working to hire special teams coach Bissacia

The Dallas Cowboys are trying to hire Rich Bisaccia away from Auburn to make him their special teams coordinator.

Bisaccia was with the San Diego Chargers for the past two seasons and worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for nine years prior to that. He’s considered one of the better special teams coaches in the league. Interestingly, he’d be another coach to join the Cowboys with ties to Jon Gruden after defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin was added. Offensive coordinator Bill Callahan also has ties to Gruden.

Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports the Cowboys are working to negotiate a buyout with Auburn to add Bisaccia. The Cowboys are working to replace veteran Joe DeCamillis, who left for the Chicago Bears where he also got the title of assistant head coach.

Makes you wonder if eventually the Cowboys will try to lure Gruden himself, doesn’t it?
