From The Denver Post:

Jay Cutler is back to frustrating Broncos fans.

Interviewed Tuesday night on ESPN Radio in Chicago, Cutler was asked about the 20,000 fans who showed up to the Bears' practices over the weekend. Cutler said Denver didn't compare as a football town.

"In Denver, we didn't have this many fans at all," he said. "We weren't even able to accommodate that many fans (at practice). That's Chicago Bears fans for you. They're proud of their Bears.

"It's a lot (different). Denver's like a 6 and Chicago's like a 9. It's a quite bit different. Just the fans and how passionate they are, that's probably the biggest difference."

What else did you expect him to say? "Hey Chicago fans. Just wanted to thank you guys for showing up, but in reality Denver has better fans. But hey, I look forward to playing in front of you all year."

I agree w/ Bernie. What else did you expect him to say? I've been to Denver a couple of times, and it doesn't seem like a "football" town. That's not a knock against Denver or its fans at ALL. They're just interested in something else. If I lived in Denver, I'd be hiking the foothills of the Rockies every weekend and probably wouldn't care much about the Broncs. Just sayin'.

I hope Cutler does well, but I DO wish he'd be more careful about what he says.

LOL Bernie, you're exactly right, what should he say? Although his reasoning about the accomodations is pretty weak. If Denver had more room would more people show up?

GBJack you're pretty sad rooting for someone to get injured. What kind of fan has a second favorite team anyway? My favorite team lost, but it's OK because my second favorite team won... Whatever. You can't root for them because of Cutler? I root for the team not the individual player. You might have some favorites but it's the teams success that matters.
