One key member of the Buccaneers has already expressed his joy to meet the new head coach.
Taking to twitter, Bucs cornerback Darrelle Revis said he's looking forward to meeting new coach Lovie Smith in the near future. Smith was hired a few days after the organization decided to part ways with Greg Schiano.
"I'm excited about the future for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers," Revis tweeted. "Heard some great things about Lovie Smith & can't wait to finally meet him."
Anything has to be better than what this past year with Schiano was like. The Bucs got out to an 0-8 start and had a controversy involving players being infected with MRSA, and whether the team was doing enough to help them.
With Smith long having a reputation as being a players' coach, Revis is surely ready to welcome him in to lead next year's team.
