Darrelle Revis pays Mark Barron $50,000 for No. 24

Darrelle Revis went to great lengths to get No. 24.

According to Paul Lukas of uniwatch.com, Revis has paid new teammate Mark Barron $50,000 to get the jersey number from him.

That sounds like a pretty penny to get a number. Barron, the first-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a year ago, is now wearing No. 23. How much does the pay off mean for Barron? Well, his base salary for 2013 is $1,047,568 so the $50,000 comes close to equaling the amount of his weekly pay checks -- $61,621.

Hopefully, the switch to No. 23 is worth it to Barron, who wore No. 4 while playing at Alabama.
