Former New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of rape, according to TMZ and court records.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department website lists Sharper's arrest.
A five-time Pro Bowl selection, the 38-year-old was reportedly linked to sexual assaults in 2013 and 2014.
Sharper was released on $200,000 bail.
Sharper is an NFL Network analyst who has previously played for the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers.
