Darren Sharper charged with sex crimes in Arizona

Former New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper, an alleged serial rapist, has now been indicted in Arizona and charged with sexual assault and administering dangerous drugs, according to the Associated Press.

Sharper has been charged with sex crimes in Los Angeles and New Orleans and accused of drugging and sexually assaulting women in Miami Beach, Las Vegas and Tempe, Ariz.

Sharper remains in custody in Los Angeles and has pleaded not guilty to seven rape and drug counts.

He's facing a warrant in New Orleans.

Sharper was a six-time All-Pro selection.

He was fired last week from his NFL Network analyst job.

He retired following the 2010 season.
