Restricted free agent running back attends workouts Aaron Wilson
Among the players who showed up for the launch of the San Diego Chargers' voluntary offseason training program: all-purpose running back Darren Sproles.
The restricted free agent isn't required to report, so this is a positive sign in the wake of San Diego assigning the high tender to Sproles.
Since Sproles hasn't signed with the deadline not until April 15 for teams to sign restricted free agents to offer sheets, he likely is participating under an injury waiver.
The team also announced that Philip Rivers, Jacques Cesaire, Jeromey Clary and Donald Strickland were in attendance.
Meanwhile, it remains uncertain if other players who received the high tender are attending workouts. That includs Shawne Merriman, Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd and Marcus McNeill.
