Cowboys pass rusher already had shoulder surgery Brad Biggs
While he is still on the mend from surgery to repair his right shoulder, Dallas Cowboys’ defensive standout DeMarcus Ware is going to go ahead and get his right elbow cleaned up.
Ware, who is expected to transition from outside linebacker to defensive end in the new scheme, will have a “minor procedure” on the elbow, according to Charean Williams of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram.
Ware had 11 ½ sacks for the season but 10 of them came in the first 10 games as injuries stifled him down the stretch. He hyperextended the elbow in December.
Expectations are that recovery from the shoulder surgery could keep Ware on the shelf until training camp. So, he will be behind learning Monte Kiffin’s new defense but it shouldn’t take him too long to get up to speed.
