Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was back on the field Friday, returning for the first time from a broken fifth metatarsal in his left foot while preparing for the NFL scouting combine.

The first-round draft pick said that he wasn't in any pain.

"Not right now," Thomas told the Denver Post. "It's just different. I haven't really gone 100 percent yet, so I don't really know yet."

As for his Twitter messages about X-rays and saying he was "sad," and then deleting the remarks, Thomas downplayed the significance.

"It was no  biggie," Thomas said. "It was just something on Twitter."

Per the report, Thomas was limited to individual drills and looked rusty while dropping a few passes.

"He's just such a big kid, and you don't really realize it until he gets out there on the field," Broncos quarterback Brady Quinn said. "His route running looked pretty solid. I know he's just coming back, but he looked good out there."
