Every year I try to be cautiously optimistic, but every year I see a monumental collapse, especially on defense. We lost Marshall, Scheffler, and Hillis. What did we acquire? Quinn and some old defensive players. McDaniels needs to stop trying to be Patriots west and concentrate on being the Broncos. I am not overly excited about the draft choices, either. Picking Tebow in the first was a waste as he would have been available much later.
I'm pumped about the things Denver is doing this off-season. We revamped the d-line, acquired a potential QB of the future, and I heard a rumor that Kevin Mawae is on the way.... McDaniels turn Cassel into a pro-bowl caliber QB in New England, think of what he can do with Quinn on a team with a solid offensive line, the best receiver in the game, and the next great Broncos running back in the backfield. My only worry is at linebacker. It would be nice to add a guy like Rolando McClain or a little unknown by the name of Mike Johnson by way of North Alabama at LB. Johnson is an outstanding leader and player, and there is no doubt in my mind he will be a great player in the NFL one day!
McDaniels is a daffy arrogant little punk, thinks he can mind-game players like his hero Belacheat does, by bringing in Brady Quimm to mess with Orton's head, cuz you know Quimm's gonna start noising off after the first interception about how he should start.....weaksauce in denver
Mr Bowlin you have hired the dumbest coach in the NFL! The way that this stupid man treated Peyton Hillis is like Al Davis treated Marcus Allen years ago, and what is sad you let it happen. Hillis was a hard working kid that busted his butt for the Broncos and you and this moron coach dumped on him. I am Happy that Hillis is on a team where he can and will play. Mr Bowlin I have been a Bronco fan since Elway, but you have lost me as a fan untill you fire this moron and hire a quality head coach.
I'm impressed with what Xanders has done so fast in his job of signing players with one hand tied behind his back. The Broncos have some of the most dead money contracts in the NFL. They're paying and counting Keary Colbert's contract still along with many others. It's just amazing how Xanders has been able to sign free agents like Dawkins, two first round draft picks, along with the 40% roster turn over with such limitations.
I'm so impressed with what Mr. Bowlen has done and we are blessed to have free-agent acquisitions in both the coaching staff and players such as Brian Dawkins, Mike Nolan and of course Josh McDaniels. It's fun to see the MSM eating their words and looking like the fools they really are. It's like Rudy Tomjanovich once said: don't underestimate the heart of a champion. We've got a champion's heart and the entire league will see it for themselves. Of course, first on the agenda: embarrassing the Steelers Monday night!
