Quarterback Derek Carr left Friday's preseason game against the Lions with a concussion and bruised ribs.
The rookie out of Fresno State has bounced back already, returning to pracitce on Monday, according to a report from the NFL Network. The concussion must have been minor for him to have been cleared to join practice so soon.
Even though he was back on the field for practice, Carr will still need to go through the NFL's concussion protocol before he plays in a game.
Carr was drafted by the Raiders in the second round with the 36th overall pick. He's the younger brother of former first overall pick David Carr.
The younger Carr is slated to back up Matt Schaub to start the season.
