Oakland Raiders rookie quarterback Derek Carr has risen to second on the depth chart behind veteran starter Matt Schaub.
Raiders coach Dennis Allen announced that Carr is now ahead of Matt McGloin.
Carr was a record-setting quarterback at Fresno State.
“We’re trying to expedite his progression,” Allen said. “I like a lot of the things that I’ve seen out of Derek. He’s still got a long way to go, but I like the direction that he’s headed.”
