Bengals linebacker says Carson Palmer won't return Aaron Wilson
Cincinnati Bengals free agent middle linebacker Dhani Jones issued a thumbs down on Jordan Palmer, the younger brother of disgruntled Carson Palmer, as far as his ability to lead the AFC North franchise's offense.
Jones told NFL Network that Jordan Palmer isn't ready to step in as a starter if rookie Andy Dalton isn't able to handle being under center immediately in his first year in the NFL.
"Jordan Palmer's not the answer, absolutely not," Jones said.
Asked what he would think of Jordan Palmer starting, Jones replied: "I would question the decision, absolutely."
Carson Palmer has asked for a trade, but owner Mike Brown has refused to accomodate his request.
The Bengals might need a fallback option if Dalton isn't up to the task.
However, Dalton seems like the kind of heady rookie who could pick things up quickly.
