Doctors advise Mark Sanchez to hold off on surgery
Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has been advised to hold off on any surgery at this time by mutliple doctors, according to a report from the New York Daily News.
Sanchez recently stated he felt he won the quarterback competition between himself and rookie Geno Smith but that the injury has kept him from assuming the starting role.
If Sanchez doesn't need surgery then there would appear to be some potential for returning to the field after rehab. Surgery would put him out for the entire 2013 season.
Smith hasn't exactly turned heads at quarterback thus far, giving Sanchez the opportunity to step back in if partially torn rotator cuff allows him to.
