Miami Dolphins safety Don Jones has rejoined the team after finishing mandated educational training following a negative tweet about openly gay St. Louis Rams rookie Michael Sam.

When Jones sent out Tweets "OMG" and "Horrible," it was in response to Sam kissing his boyfriend after being drafted.

The Dolphins fined him and excused him from all team activities. Jones apologized for his comments.

The Dolphins are sensitive to public perception after their bullying scandal last season.

When center Mike Pouncey recently made a joke about Dolphins rookie tackle Ja'Wuan James having to pay for dinners, he was reprimanded by the Dolphins and has since deleted his Twitter account.
