Dolphins IR Patterson, Stanford, sign Rogers, Thomas

The Miami Dolphins have signed free agent cornerback Justin Rogers and safety Michael Thomas off the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.

They placed defensive backs Dimitri Patterson and R.J. Stanford on injured reserve, ending their seasons.

Rogers has 73 tackles, 12 pass deflections and three interceptions in prior stints with the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills.

Thomas played at Stanford and has been on the 49ers practice squad for the past two seasons.
