Miami Dolphins offensive guard Richie Incognito was allegedly involved in a fight where he punched and knocked out a hotel security guard in South Beach at the Fontainebleau hotel prior to training camp, according to the Palm Beach Post and ESPN.
Incognito was issued a trespassing warning in June, according to the Post, which obtained a police report of the incident.
ESPN reported that Fontainebleau was punched first and said the hotel won't hand over the videotape that hasn't been seen by the NFL.
ESPN reported the Dolphins have “done everything to bury it.”
If Incognito punched the security guard and it comes to light, he could possibly be punished under the NFL personal conduct policy.
The NFL has declined comment.
According to the Post, Incognito and friends were trying to get close to a concert stage when they got into an altercation with a security guard. Someone from Incognito's group of friends allegedly told the security guard: “F– you, and what are you gong to do about it,” and shoved him before he got into a fight with Incognito.
Incognito told police he was trying to break up the altercation when he was struck in the face my the guard, sustaining minor injuries and refusing medical treatment.
