The Miami Dolphins were awarded cornerback Chris Owens off waivers from the Cleveland Browns one day after they claimed cornerback Jalil Brown off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts.

The Dolphins cut cornerback Justin Rogers.

Owens played in 13 games for the Browns, recording 22 tackles.

The Dolphins are banged-up at cornerback due to Brent Grimes (groin) and Nolan Carroll (knee) dealing with injuries.
