Veteran could find playing time at Reggie Bush's expense. Terry McCormick
Steve Slaton wasn't out of work for long.
In fact, he didn't even make it to the unemployment line, as the Miami Dolphins claimed him off waivers from the Houston Texans on Wednesday.
Slaton's contract, which calls for $1.2 million this season, will be assumed by the Dolphins.
The bigger question is what role Slaton assumes in Miami, and how does that affect Reggie Bush, who has only 69 yards rushing this season on 27 carries. Slaton, who has been buried at the back of the Texans' bench all season, has 20 yards rushing on only seven carries. Rookie Daniel Thomas is the Dolphins' leading rusher with 202 yards on the ground.
