Dolphins cut five players

The Miami Dolphins have released five players in advance of Tuesday's deadline to get down to 75 players.

They cut offensive guards Jeff Braun and Chandler Burden, defensive tackle Chris Burnette, linebacker Alonzo Highsmith and wide receiver Kenny Stafford.

Highsmith is the son of longtime NFL scout and former NFL running back Alonzo Highsmith.
