The Miami Dolphins hired former New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum as a consultant.
Tannenbaum will continue to work for Priority Sports as an agent.
He was the Jets' general manager for seven years. Tannenbaum previously worked for the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns.
The Dolphins also promoted Ryan Herman to director of football administration after serving as manager of football administration, promoted scouting assistants Chris Buford and Max Gruder to college scout and pro scout. The Dolphins hired Dennis Lock as head analyst, Dave Regan as sports science analyst, Brad Forsyth and Marcus Hendrickson as college scouts, J.P. McGowan as scouting assistant and Jonathan Gress as assistant athletic trainer/physical therapist.
“As an organization, we are committed to innovation and technology and we feel the creation of our analytics department and the development of our sports sciences program will help our personnel, coaching staff and players reach their full potential,” Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey said.
