The Miami Dolphins interviewed New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio for their general manager vacancy today, the team announced.
Caserio works in tandem with Patriots coach Bill Belichick on personnel decisions.
That could make him a good candidate for the Dolphins given their team approach to personnel responsibilities between coach Joe Philbin with the roster and executive Dawn Aponte on contract decisions.
The other top candidates, according to the Miami Herald, are Dolphins assistant general manager Brian Gaine, Tennessee Titans executive Lake Dawson and Tampa Bay Buccaneers executive Dennis Hickey.
