The Miami Dolphins have finally bettered the St. Louis Rams in a transaction, landing Rams free agent receiver Brandon Gibson.
Last year, the Dolphins lost out in a highly publicized battle with the Rams for Coach Jeff Fisher.
And on the first day of free agency, the Rams scooped up Jared Cook, a player the Dolphins (and several other teams) coveted from the open market.
In landing Gibson, the Dolphins are getting a receiver who caught 51 passes last year and scored five touchdowns. Gibson had visited the New York Jets before going to Miami, and canceled a visit with the Tennessee Titans once he agreed to terms with the Dolphins.
