The Miami Dolphins have signed veteran free agent offensive line Cory Procter, the team announced today.
Procter had previously visited the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.
Procter was originally signed by Dolphins personnel czar Bill Parcells when he was running the Dallas Cowboys off the Detroit Lions' practice squad in 2005. Now,they're reunited in Miami.
Procter, 27, has played in the NFL for five seasons and was recently released by the Cowboys.
He has played in 44 games, including 13 starts.
He's capable of playing center and guard, starting 11 games at left guard in 2008.
The 6-foot-4, 311-pounder played collegiately at Montana and was a Division I-AA All-American selection.
