Dolphins sign Koa Misi to four-year extension

The Miami Dolphins have finalized a four-year, $17 million contract extension for linebacker Koa Misi.

He's now under contract through the 2017 season with at least half of the contract guaranteed.

The deal was first reported by FOX Sports.

Misi, 26, is a 6-foot-3, 254-pounder from Utah entering his fourth NFL season.

Last season, he recorded 65 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and two forced fumbles.

For his career, he has 140 tackles, nine sacks and five pass deflections.
