Veteran wideout had been released by Patriots in preseason. Terry McCormick
The Miami Dolphins announced on Tuesday that they have signed veteran wide receiver Jabar Gaffney.
The signing of Gaffney, who was released by the New England Patriots this summer, highlighted a flurry of roster moves by the Dolphins on Tuesday.
The Dolphins also terminated the contracts of defensive lineman Andre Fluellen and wide receiver Legedu Naanee and waived/injured linebacker Mike Rivera.
Gaffney was a second-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2002, where he spent his first four seasons with the team. Gaffney has also played for the Patriots (2006-08) and Denver Broncos (2009-10) and last season with the Washington Redskins where he established career highs with 68 catches for 947 yards.
