The Miami Dolphins not only lost their preseason finale to the Dallas Cowboys, they lost their team plane as they were readying for the flight home.
The Dolphins team plane backed into another aircraft at the Dallas airport, causing the team to have to find a replacement plane, according to the Miami Herald.
Players began to tweet about the plight of the flight.
"So tired and haven’t even left Dallas yet,” receiver Brian Hartline said on Twitter. “Aaaaand the rumor is we backed into another plane... On the runway #awesome! Anyone else awake?”
It was already well past daylight in Miami when the Dolphins finally arrived home as quarterback Matt Moore tweeted, “8:08 am. Just got home from Dallas. Longer trip ever!”
