There are plenty of people making the Ryan Tannehill connection to the Miami Dolphins with the eighth pick in the draft.

The natural conclusion is that former Texas A&M head coach Mike Sherman, who is now the Dolphins offensive coordinator, is going to be fond of his former Aggie pupil, enough to draft him next week in the first round.

While Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland says the club likes Tannehill, it is not a foregone conclusion that he will hold up an aqua-colored No. 1 jersey with his name on the back next Thursday.

"There are times you should go after a first-round quarterback, but  you should be pressured into it," Ireland said at the Dolphins pre-draft press conference.

Ireland said that he and the Dolphins organization like Tannehill, who is a solid person with a good family background. But he certainly tried his best not to tip his hand regarding whether or not that is enough to bring him to South Beach.
