Denver Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil will not face charges in Florida from an apparent road rage incident, says the Denver Post.
Dumervil was arrested July 14 in MIami Beach and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon after it was alleged got out of the vehicle he was driving and raised his shirt to show a gun to another motorist.
"I never had a gun on me at all," Dumervil said. "I never left the area right outside my car door."
Dumervil said he was thankful that investigators found the truth in the matter.
"It was a blessing that the investigators took the time to get the truth out," Dumervil said. "I knew I didn't do anything wrong. It was a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm just ready for football."
