One advantage to an uncapped year is that the frequency with which players are traded appears to be on the rise.

The latest move to hit the transaction wire takes us to Philadelphia where the Eagles have traded defensive end Chris Clemons and their fourth-round pick in the 2010 draft to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for DE Darryl Tapp, according to Jay Glazer of FoxSports.com.

Philly had been rumored for several weeks to be in the market for another defensive end to play opposite speed rusher Trent Cole. The acquisition of Tapp gives the Birds a four-year veteran who has amassed 18 sacks and eight forced fumbles in 32 career starts.

"Darryl is a very intense football player and we're happy to acquire him," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "He plays very hard every snap. He's smart, he's a good person and he'll fit very well into our defensive scheme."

The move also signals the end of Chris Clemons’ time in the City of Brotherly Love. Clemons signed with the Eagles during the 2007 offseason as he was coming off an eight-sack season with the Oakland Raiders.

In two years with the Eagles, Clemons never started a game and amassed just seven total sacks.
