Everyone is still trying to get a grasp on what the new offense of the Philadelphia Eagles will loom like.
Chip Kelly was innovative at Oregon and will surely bring some wrinkles with him to the pro level.
How about seeing DeSean Jackson play some running back?
That is one real possibility, according to Bob Grotz of the Delaware County Times. If it’s a creative way to get Jackson the ball in space, it makes sense.
“There might be plays where DeSean is in the backfield, you never know,” running back LeSean McCoy said, according to Grotz. “I mean every time we come out here it’s always something different. It’s always a surprise. So you don’t know what to look forward to.”
The Eagles cannot be running Jackson between the tackles but there are uses for him.
“Right now that’s the big thing because we’re able to motion from both sides, motion from side to side,” Jackson said. “Go behind the quarterback. Go in front of the quarterback. Things like that.
“There’s just so many different options. That’s the biggest thing I can say is this offense really doesn’t have any limits. There’s plenty of options regardless of how the defense is playing.”
It certainly will be interesting to watch the offense unfold.
