Philadelphia Eagles safety Keelan Johnson was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer following a bar fight in Tempe, Ariz., according to police.

Johnson was allegedly shouting over officers as they detained a friend of his.

Police said Johnson was instructed to step back several times before allegedly shoving an officer and then refusing to lower his arms to be arrested. Johnson allegedly told police he shoved the officer because he felt that the officer didn't have a right to tell him what to do and try to move him.

Johnson was allegedly intoxicated and was charged also with passively resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
