A deep and talented pool of cornerbacks added one earlier today when the Minnesota Vikings released Antoine Winfield.
Now, you can add Nnamdi Asomugha to the list of available cover men in free agency.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Eagles have done what everyone has expected for weeks – they’ve let go of another “Dream Team” addition. Asomugha will count $4 million against the team’s salary cap this season. He wasn’t the same player for the Eagles as he was previously with the Oakland Raiders.
Still, with a fresh start Asomugha should be able to help someone this coming season. He’s going to have competition for work though.
