The Philadelphia Eagles brought Felix Jones in for a workout last week and apparently they liked what they saw.
The Eagles will sign the veteran running back to a one-year deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, giving Philadelphia an experienced option behind LeSean McCoy. Jones also had a workout for the New England Patriots.
Jones, 26, rushed for 402 yards on 111 carries with three touchdowns last season in Dallas where DeMarco Murray became the primary ball carrier. His best season came in 2010 when he had 800 yards rushing and he’s averaged 4.8 yards per carry for his career.
The Eagles also have Bryce Brown behind McCoy but he was plagued with fumbling problems last season that he will need to clean up.
