The Philadelphia Eagles have signed first-round outside linebacker Marcus Smith to a four-year contract.
It includes the standard fifth-year option.
Smith is a former high school quarterback. He recorded 14.5 sacks last season.
He recorded 24 career sacks.
Smith was named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season when he recorded 18.5 tackles for losses.
