Veteran safety Ed Reed, who has been bothered all of preseason with a hip injury, has returned to practice, is improving and will be a game-time decision as to whether or not he makes his Houston Texans debut Monday night.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle quoted Texans coach Gary Kubiak on Friday after Reed practiced with the club as saying, "He had another good practice today. He's come a long way. I can't say he won't play."
