Kelly Kelly

EIGHT: Welcome Back Divas- The last couple of weeks, we’ve used the Daily Jolt as our home for “Eight in the Box,” but the people have spoken, and we give the people what they want here at the NFP. To celebrate the return of the babes to the front page, we’re going back to our roots — where “Eight in the Box” started. Yes, the WWE Divas are back. Say hello again to Kelly Kelly and her friends.

SEVEN: Crowd Control- According to reports, there are concerns in Dallas right now about crowd control after Jerry Jones handed out “party passes” to oversell his monstrosity of a stadium. But the issues have supposedly been taken care of, and considering that Tony Romo treated the home fans to a disaster on the field, we doubt it will happen again.

SIX: Man Genius- As our own Aaron Wilson pointed out this week, Cleveland head coach Eric Mangini is sticking by his “system” despite rumblings from the players and fines for ripping off those bottles of water from hotel rooms. Hey, I’m all for discipline on teams, but can you imagine what would happen if someone stole a $10 can of Miller Lite from the mini-fridge?

Michele McCool

FIVE: Miss McCool- Continuing our “welcome back” theme today, how can we not talk about the greatest sporting event on the planet — WWE Wrestling — without mentioning Michelle McCool? Add in the fact that she’s reportedly involved with the Undertaker (an NFP favorite), and it proves that blond female wrestlers are the way to go.

FOUR: Upset Alert- The Lions play host to the Redskins — the same Redskins who can’t score points — and our own Brad Biggs brought up a great point: The game is blacked out. So if the Lions break their streak of 19 consecutive losses and no one gets to see it, does it really count?

THREE: Zorn- How bad is it for ‘Skins coach Jim Zorn? As we just mentioned, experts are picking his team to lose to Detroit, former players (and buddies of the owner) are calling him out in his own locker room, and Mike Shanahan is already picking out furniture to put in Zorn’s office next season. Coaching in the NFL is hard enough to go through all of this — after a win.

TWO: Raiders Fun- Oakland WR Javon Walker is confused about his playing time, according to reports, as he’s seen only four snaps this season. Well, when your quarterback can only complete seven passes in a game, trust us, you aren’t missing that much by watching from the sideline.

Stacy Keibler

ONE: Stacy- We decided to save the best for last for your Friday entertainment, so we couldn’t pass up the chance to bring you — in our opinion — the best the WWE has to offer when it comes to Divas. Yes, Stacy Keibler, who happens to appear in a poster hanging on the bedroom wall of NFP Fantasy expert Joe Fortenbaugh, is back in play. We love wrestling.

Iowa at Penn State on Saturday night. I smell upset — again.

Have a good weekend. He gone.

Excellent um.. writing! My employee's always comment why I'm looking at hot women at work, and I have to explain I'm reading a football column!
Matt, anymore in depth take on the Hawkeye's for this game from a player perspective?

J-Rock is a complete bust in Oak Town.... goes to show that a good bowl game really can cover up the lack of skills in college players.

Something I don't get: Nobody seems to like talkative, smug, arrogant, immature, demonstrative and/or thuggish players. Yet everybody seems to despise any coach that tries to do anything about it. Mangini, Belichick, MacDaniels, Singletary-- every one of them has been tarred and feathered for having rules and expecting players to behave and play like men. Heck you would have thought that Singletary defecated on the sideline when he merely coached Vernon Davis after a particularly boneheaded play. MacDaniels somehow turned Brandon Marshall into a folk hero. Mangini is in the cross hairs now.

Its the definition of irony.

Sorry to have a rant at your eight and the box party.
