Giants QB tells Letterman big brother is fine Brad Biggs
The Super Bowl XLVI MVP quarterback has weighed in on the quarterback that got the bulk of the attention during Super Bowl week.
Eli Manning made an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” Monday night and the Indiana native Letterman asked Manning about the quarterback from the Indiana football team – Peyton Manning.
“Everything’s good to go,” Eli Manning said of his brother, according to the New York Daily News.
“He got a good report from his doctor, said, ‘Hey, you know, if you were my own son, I’d give you the okay to play,’ and so he’ll be ready,” Eli continued. “He’s healthy, now it’s just about getting to 100% where he can physically make all the throws.
“He’s doing well. He’s rehabbing. He was in good spirits all weekend, got to be with him a little bit, and, you know, he’s just trying to get 100 percent. He wants to play football – and I think he will.”
Now that the Super Bowl is in the books, the focus will once again be on Peyton Manning as we wait to see what kind of resolution he finds with Colts owner Jim Irsay. Will Peyton Manning stay or will he go? He needs to win another Super Bowl MVP award to match his brother Eli now.

@DMR - Actually, it does make perfect sense. Payton can be cleared 100% healthy, but that doesn't mean he's in 100% football shape yet. He's only been lightly throwing the football around, not slinging it like he would be during a season. Not that his neck is healed, he can work back to getting his strength back.
Also, I think you're quite mistaken on Peyton being greedy. He's restructured his contract many times before to actually GIVE the team cap space to resign some core guys.
DMR - sounds like envy has taken over your pysche - how sad for you. Peyton along with the entire Manning family has done works for people, both known and anonomously, that would shame you for your cowardly attack.
Envy? Hardly. My team has 6 Super Bowl victories. My QB has 2 rings with an appearance in a 3rd SB. My team is much closer to another SB appearance than either Manning or the Colts.
And no, he has NOT "restructured his deal many times". Get your facts straight.
@ DMR - You are the one who needs to check facts. Here's two links that literally took me less than a minute to find:

So let's see. He's "good to go" and "ready to play"....he just can't make the throws. That really makes sense, Eli. This reeks of an ethical lapse on the part of the Peyton's doc, giving him a phony "clearance" (knowing full well he's 6 months from having to actually play any football) so he can leverage his employer.
Peyton did this whole thing to himself. He's the reason Andrew Luck is coming to town. He always took the max contract so the Colts had little cap room to fill out the rest of the roster with any real depth....and last season's result is what happens. If Peyton wants to cast blame.....he can simply stand in front of the mirror and take a look at the guy staring back.
