Free agent defensive end had been released by Cincinnati last month. Terry McCormick
Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom, who is currently an unrestricted free agent, was reportedly shot in the leg in Mobile, Ala.
Odom, a second-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2004 from the University of Alabama, was shot early this morning, according to Jessica Taloney of WKRG Channel 5 in Mobile.
Odom was released by the Bengals just before the opening of training camp last month. It ended a three-year tenure after the Bengals signed him in 2008 to a $29.5 million contract. Odom never played a full season due to injuries that included an Achilles tendon tear in 2009, and also a wrist injury last year. He also was suspended for four games in 2010 for violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancing substances.
