Former New England Patriots guard Joe Andruzzi, himself a cancer survivor, was near the site of the Boston Marathon explosion on Monday.

According to, Andruzzi wasn't heard from for several hours and there were those who feared for his safety. However, a photograph surfaced of a man carrying a woman out of harm's way - a photo later identified as Andruzzi as the man carrying the woman.

In the wake of such a tragedy, hats off to Joe Andruzzi and all the others pitching in to help rescue the victims.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and families involved in Monday's tragedy. May God bless and comfort them.
