Former teammate says linebacker looked nervous in final game. Terry McCormick
Former NFL defensive tackle Trevor Pryce, who was Ray Lewis' teammate in Baltimore for four-plus seasons, says the linebacker didn't earn his paycheck in the Super Bowl, his final NFL game on Sunday.
“Half of his playoff check should go to (linebacker) Dannell Ellerbe for making that last play on that last fade route,” Pryce told the Jim Rome Radio Show. “The other half to Greg Roman the 49ers offensive coordinator.”
The 49ers on several occasions went after Lewis with tight end Vernon Davis, who had six receptions for 104 yards on Sunday.
Pryce said he believed Lewis was caught up in the nervousness of it being his final game.
