Ex-Wolverine Foote: Buckeyes will get 'what they deserve'

Add Larry Foote to the list of former Michigan Wolverines who won't shed a tear over the drama taking place in Columbus, Ohio.

The ex-linebacker was taking part in former Michigan basketball player Jalen Rose's golf outing to raise money for the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, and he offered his thoughts on the Buckeyes after OSU officials announced their self-imposed penalties last week.

"I see we stole one of their five-star recruits the other day," Foote said, referring to highly regarded Kyle Kalis, an offensive lineman who decommited from Ohio State and pledged to Michigan's Class of 2012. "I couldn't sleep well," he added sarcastically.

Foote believes that the NCAA will give the Buckeyes "what they deserve" in harsh penalties when school officials meet with the Committee on Infractions in August.

"Ten-year ban, take all the victories away, lose 100 scholarships," Foote said, exaggerating. "Give that (bowl money) back and donate it to the rest of the Big Ten teams."
