Falcons' DeCoud out with concussion

Atlanta Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins due to a concussion.

DeCoud got hurt tackling Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy last week.

Rookie safety Zeke Motta, a former Notre Dame player, will start in his place. He had 10 tackles in reliefof DeCoud against Green Bay. Motta is playing with a broken finger.

"I thought he did a good job with the so-called 'live bullets,'" defensive coordinator Mike Nolan said. "It wasn't too big for him. He didn't get all starry-eyed. He was good. He had blood all over his face. I don't know what busted open on him, but he was hitting people and doing a real good job."
