From the start, it looked as if free agent cornerback Dunta Robinson was heading to Atlanta.
Now, it appears as if the race is all but over.
Robinson could sign a long-term contract with the Falcons “within the hour,” according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Widely regarded as the top cornerback in this year’s free agent class, Robinson recorded 64 tackles (54 solo) for the Houston Texans in 2009.
The six-year veteran was drafted by the Texans out of South Carolina in 2004.
Stay tuned.
