The Atlanta Falcons have informed offensive guard Garrett Reynolds of his pending release, according to his agent, Chad Speck.
Reynolds started 10 games and played in all but one game last season.
The 6-foot-7, 310-pounder has started 23 of 42 games played since entering the NFL in 2009 out of North Carolina with the Falcons.
He signed a two-year, $2.7 million contract extension last year.
By cutting Reynolds, the Falcons save nearly $1 million against the salary cap for 2014.
