Falcons promote receiver Darius Johnson with Roddy White out

With veteran wide receiver Roddy White out with a hamstring injury, the Atlanta Falcons have promoted wide receiver Darius Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster.

Johnson's addition comes one day after the Falcons cut safety Shann Schillinger.

Johnson is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound rookie who went undrafted out of Southern Methodist.

During the preseason, he led the Falcons with 13 receptions for 158 yards and one touchdown.
