Rodgers, Vick advance to semifinals Joe Fortenbaugh
The dream of seeing Patriots running back and former Jets castoff Danny Woodhead on the cover of the Madden 2012 video game has officially come to an end.
ICONWoodhead came up short.
Woodhead—along with Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, Saints quarterback Drew Brees and 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis—was eliminated from the Madden 2012 Cover Vote tournament on Monday.
The New England ball carrier was only able to garner 44% of the vote against the tournament favorite, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
In addition to the Packers signal-caller, Browns running back Peyton Hillis defeated Charles (60%- 40%), Vikings running back Adrian Peterson knocked off Brees (62%-38%) and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick blew out Willis (61%-39%).
Here are your final four matchups:
Aaron Rodgers vs. Peyton Hillis
Michael Vick vs. Adrian Peterson
Any chance Hillis gets by the Super Bowl MVP in the semis?
